Getting there

There are two ways to get to Heritage safari lodge on land. You can hire a car from 4x4uganda and drive via Masindi through Murchison falls national park. This will take you about six and a half hours drive. You will have to drive through Murchison falls national park. The lodge is located outside the national park.

The other option is driving through Karuma. That is around 366km and close to 7 hours drive. When you use this route, you will avoid paying Murchison falls park entrances. However this route is longer than passing through Murchison falls national park. Part of the road is still under construction. Unless otherwise, it is recommended to use the Masindi route and pay park entrances instead of passing through Karuma.

The park is located 26km from Paraa area. Most of the tourism activity in Murchison falls happens around Paraa. This includes the boats trips and a visit to the top of the falls. It is therefore recommended to put this in mind while booking your accommodation at Heritage lodge. It is a recommended location in case you wish to simply relax at the lodge. However, if you intend to do a night game drive in Murchison falls national park, then you might have to consider other closer options.
