Welcome to Kibale National Park, A home to 13 Primates

Kibale National Park is Uganda’s most famous tour destination for primates tracking, with 13 species recorded, and 350 forest bird species. Among the primates in Kibale Forest include Chimpanzees, Colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys, Grey Cheeked Mnagabbeys, Blue Monkeys, Red-tailed Monkeys and vervets among others.

Here, we also have big mammals such as Forest Elephants and Buffaloes, as well as huge tree species. The park is located in western Uganda, about 6-7 hrs drive from Kampala, the Capital of Uganda. The journey goes through beautiful rural towns like Mityana, Mubende,Kyenjojo to Fort Portal.

The 3 day Chimpanzee safari is most popular in Kibale National park. However, you can extend your safari to Queen Elizabeth National park (2hrs), Murchison Falls National Park (7hrs), Mount Rwenzori National Park (2hrs), Semliki National Park (1.5 hrs) or Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for mountain gorilla tracking (5-6hrs).
