Nairobi To Kampala and Kampala To Nairobi Transfers
For a couple of years, land public transport has become an issue more so if you are travelling from Kampala to Nairobi or Nairobi to Kampala. Previously, you could catch the bus almost at anytime of the day. But now, if you plan to travel during the day so that you may reach at night, you will be required to wait until late in the evening to board the bus so that you reach your destination the following day in the morning.
Special Hire For Four Passengers
4x4uganda Ltd offers private transfers from Kampala to Nairobi and Nairobi to Kampala. We charge $240 for a one way transfer. However this can be shared among four people each paying $60. These are private transfers. We only offer transport. We are not responsible for your Visas and other border crossing requirements. In case you pay for the service and fail to cross the border for some reason, there is no money that will be refunded.

In case you pay for our shared private transfer service but for some reason you are delayed at the border for more than two hours, we shall simply proceed with the rest of the passengers. We have a specific time to be in our destinations and therefore any delays will likely affect other schedules.
What Happens In case Of Mechanical Issues
We have mechanics in different major towns. We always ensure that you arrive at your next destination on time. We always leave an allowance of two hours in case of a mechanical issue. Besides that, our cars always visit the garage before setting off for such a long journey. We ensure that most of these issues are dealt with before they even happen.
What if we are five or six passengers?

In situations where you are five or six or even seven passengers; we have bigger cars that can accommodate that option but it will cost you a little more given that the service is still for a private car under a special car hire option. The safari van will cost you around $350 for a one way transfer. This can accommodate up to seven people with enough luggage space.
Travel Time
Your trip can begin anytime of the day. But we recommend the trip to start as early as 6am. Starting later will affect your arrival time. This journey usually takes fourteen to sixteen hours. Setting off early will make the journey smoother.
Scheduled Breaks
The breaks are often agreed upon depending on how fast you wish to arrive. We usually offer two breaks to ease yourself during the trip. We do not recommend drinking a lot of fluids because this will require your body to ease itself so much often. A bottle or two could be enough for the whole trip.
How much Luggage Can You Take?
If you hire the car all by yourself, you will have all the trunk space for yourself. If it is simply shared among four people. then you will only have space enough for a backpack.
Where is the Pick Up and Drop off
The official meet up point is our offices in Nansana but in case you are willing to chip in an extra $20 for the smaller and $30 for the bigger car, you can be picked up anywhere in Kampala or Entebbe.
