Amazing Destination Uganda Discounts
Many complaints have been heard regarding the high rates of gorilla trekking permits. Amidst all these voices, the Uganda Wildlife Authority has been planning something to make your festive season special. Amazing discounts on gorilla trekking, Chimpanzee tracking among other park activities that Uganda has to offer are starting as early as 1st December 2020.
In a press release to all stakeholders in the tourism industry of Uganda issued on 27th of November 2020, the Uganda wildlife Authority has brought to light the following amazing discounts that might make you reconsider your travel plans to Uganda that you had shelved because of the pandemic.
Gorilla Trekking Permits Discounts
East African Community
Foreign Residents (50% Discount)
Foreign residents include anyone who does not come from any of the East African countries but for some reason stays in Uganda. These have been paying US$600 for a gorilla permit per person but now will pay US$300 per permit. This implies that, unlike the East Africans, the foreign residents will be getting a 50% discount on all gorilla trekking permits.
Foreign Non-Resident
A foreign non-resident is anyone who is in Uganda basically on a tourist VISA, in other words; they are not permanently residing anywhere in Uganda or living in Uganda for less than 6 months.
These kinds of foreigners have been given a similar discount to that of the East Africans placing their discounted permit at US$400 permit contrary to the usual rate since July 1st, 2020 of US%700 permit.
Chimpanzee Tracking Permits Discounts
Chimpanzee tracking is obviously second to gorilla trekking. There are several chimpanzee tracking options but Kibale forest national park seems to be at the forefront. So all these discounts are made in view of Kibale forest national park chimpanzee tracking.
